Spark your autumn creativity with a nourishing and explorative workshop!
We're teaming up with our lovely friend Lucy Beacham from Studio Unfold. Lucy has an amazing background in production design, prop making, and illustration, and she’s also an expert in therapeutic creative arts.
We'll kick things off with some relaxed, playful activities, drawing inspiration from organic still life setups. You'll experiment with mark-making using sustainable materials like charcoal, graphite, and Indian ink. As a group and individually, you'll create a series of observational studies, with plenty of support and guidance from Sophie and Lucy.
We'll dive into design development techniques like scaling-up, layering, and adding extra elements. Plus, you’ll get hands-on with mono printing and collage to create your own collection of work that can fuel your self-directed practice.
This rich, grounding 3.5-hour workshop is perfect for all skill levels—ideal for the curious and creative! You’ll leave with fresh inspiration, practical tips, and a peek into SD’s unique design process.
Just a heads-up: things might get a little messy, so wear clothes you don’t mind getting paint on, or bring an overshirt or apron!

Cancellation and Refund Policy
1. Refunds:
- If you cancel at least seven days before the course begins, you will receive a full refund minus a 5% booking fee.
- Cancellations made within seven days of the course start date are non-refundable.
2. Course Transfers
- We may be able to transfer your booking to a future workshop upon request, although this is not guaranteed.
3. Course Cancellations:
- We reserve the right to cancel any course due to circumstances such as low enrollment
- In the event of a cancellation, we will make every effort to provide at least 7 days' notice.
- If we cancel a course, you will receive a full refund.
